188 Avukatların Aydınlatılmış Onama İlişkin Görüş ve Farkındalıkları Abstract: Prior to all medical practices “informed consent” is a basic patient right based on the principle of person autonomy. Pa- tients must be informed by physicians about their health problems and these informations must be appropriate for their socio-cultural level. Aim of this study is to research the awareness, knowledge and experiences of attorneys about informed consent and to represent solutions for problems related to informed consent. This study implemented on attorneys who participated the tra- ining programs organised by Istanbul Bar Association on 13.10.2018 and 3.11.2018. After giving information about the study, question- naire forms distributed to voluntary attorneys. Data analysis was performed by using SPSS 18.00 program. The value of p <0.05 was statistical significance of this study. 175 attorneys participated this questionnaire. 86,3% of attorneys who participated our questionnaire, they were between ages of 20-30 years (n=151), 11,4% of them were bet- ween ages of 30-40 years (n=20), 0,6% of them were between ages of 50-60 years (n=1). 69,1% of participants were women (n=121) and 30,9% of participants were men (n=54). 78,3% of our participants (n=137) considered that verbal and written consent must be taken together from patient before the surgery operation. 93,1% of our participants (n=163) considered that informed consent procedure were not implementing correctly by health pro- fessionals. When we look at the current situation in our country, the informed consent process is not at the required level yet and attor- neys think that the procedure is wrong and incomplete. Tüm tıbbi uygulamalar öncesinde kişilerin kendilerine uygulanacak tıbbi müdahaleler ile il- gili olarak sosyo-kültürel seviyelerine uygun şekilde aydınlatılması ve onamlarının alınması temel hasta haklarındandır. Bu süreç kişi özerk- liğine saygı ilkesi ve hekimin sorumluluğu gereği olarak yasal ve etik açıdan güncel tıp yaklaşımının önemli bir unsurudur. 1 Ülkemizde 1 Ağustos 1998’de yürürlüğe giren Hasta Hakları Yönetmeliği’nin üçüncü bölümünde hastanın sağlık durumuyla ilgili bilgi alma hakkı düzenlenmiştir.
